Our greatest source of funding this year will be the Silent Auction, taking place at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, FL, in conjunction with ERE Expo 2008 Fall. Since our launch in 2006, the ERE Foundation has raised over $60,000 and we are aiming high this year. We need your help to make this event a success.

These children are our workforce of tomorrow. The time for us to invest in them is today.

If you’re a member of the staffing community who is willing to support the ERE Foundation’s cause, we hope you will join us on Tuesday, October 28, for an entertaining, rewarding evening. Bidding starts promptly at 6:00 PM and features complimentary drinks and hors d’oeurves.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! ERE Expo attendees will be able to continue to bid on auction items throughout the conference until 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 30, when auctioneer Dick Gast officially closes the silent auction.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Organizations and members of the staffing community generously donate items of value for auction. The ERE Foundation is a charitable organization, so all donations are tax deductible.
  2. Expo attendees and other interested members of the community place bids on these items in an exciting live auction.
  3. All proceeds from the auction go directly toward funding educational programs for disadvantaged children.

We’ll be auctioning off valuable items of all kinds to hundreds of leading recruiters in the industry, representing dozens of top corporations. For example, some highlights from last year’s auction included a flat screen tv, portable GPS navigation system, as well as valuable corporate resources such as free subscriptions and product trials.

Proceeds of the auction will go toward funding educational opportunities for children around the world, with an emphasis on those who are most in need of them.

Consider that:

  • Your donation will be featured on the ERE Foundation website’s donation list prior to the auction. We’ll also be featuring noteworthy donations in our news updates on the home page.
  • All donors will be recognized on signage at the auction.
  • The child you help today might just become a great candidate for your company tomorrow!
