Board of directors

The board of directors are responsible for organizing the ERE Foundation’s fundraising efforts and overseeing the use of the funds the Foundation collects.

The board of directors is currently comprised of the following members:

Chairman

David Manaster is CEO of ERE Media, Inc. the leading provider of information and networking opportunities for recruiting professionals. David founded ERE in 1998. Since that time, the ERE website (www.ere.net) has grown to include tens of thousands of community members in the profession, and ERE has expanded to include offerings like a biannual conference series (www.erexpo.com) and a monthly print journal for corporate recruiting leaders.

Board Members

Gerry Crispin writes, speaks, teaches and consults internationally on the growing role of emerging technology in employment strategies and processes. An engineering graduate with advanced degrees in organizational behavior, Gerry has a career that spans 30 years and includes stints in career planning and placement, executive search, human resource management at Johnson & Johnson, and regional GM of a national recruitment advertising. Gerry co-authored, along with his business partner, Mark Mehler, CareerXroads, a best-selling annual directory of job, resume, and career management websites on the Internet. Gerry & Mark have presented at more than 100 local, state, and national HR and Staffing conferences, as well as major European and Australian conferences for employers and graduate advisors.

Gerry currently serves as the ERE Foundation’s Secretary.

Kate Bruener serves as ERE Media’s conference director. She’s responsible for planning and staging the ER Expo conference series, one of the largest and most succesful conference franchises in the recruiting industry. Kate is an experienced conference and event producer, and is founder and managing director of KBEvents, a meetings management firm located just south of Seattle, Washington.

Kate is the ERE Foundation’s Treasurer.
